Playa Flamenca is situated 6 km south of Torrevieja. Safe blue flag sandy beaches, some with beach bars and sun loungers, surround it. This is an ideal location for a peaceful holiday. There are numerous bars and restaurants all within easy walking distance of the apartment catering for all tastes and pockets. It is a golfers paradise, with at least 5 courses within easy driving distance of Playa Flamenca. Handicap Certificates maybe required at some courses.
Golf VillaMartin golf course is situated about 8kms south of Torrevieja on the Costa Blanca. It previously hosted the Mediterranean Open and is probably the best known course in the area. It is a medium difficulty course comprising of scenic fairways and excellent greens. The Clubhouse and pool provide wonderful surroundings for discussing the blobs, pars and birdies! Within a 5 minute drive of VillaMartin there are two more courses Campoamor and Las Ramblas. Campoamor is a course for the very big hitters. It has the longest par 3 of any course in the area and is located amongst the Orange Groves. The front and back 9 provide contrasting scenery, with the back 9 being particularly beautiful. The newly opened Clubhouse has superb facilities and their Tapas are not to be missed! The Pro Shop is very large and offers a wide variety of clothing and equipment. Prior to playing you can practice on the driving range and 2 Putting greens. We would highly recommend this course. Las Ramblas is also owned by VillaMartin and is known as VillaMartin 2 but it offers a very different golfing experience. It is 1km from Campoamor, and the holes are designed so that in most cases you have to hit over ravines. Remember to bring a lot of golf balls for this course. However the majority of people who play this course enjoy the challenging experience and want to play it again and again. The Clubhouse facilities are smaller than any other courses but the setting and friendly atmosphere are second to none and the outside terrace overlooks the 18th green. Ciudad Quesada. Nature seems to have provided a ready made site for a Golf Course at Ciudad Quesada. Set in the low lying land with residential properties and other amenities overlooking this oasis, the gently rolling slopes lend themselves to facilitate every conceivable variety expected of a fine Golf Course. Designed for elite competition, the 18 hole course is divided into three sections, with water coming into play on the 4th, 9th and 17th holes. There's an opportunity for a birdie on the 6th (par 5). The practice range is completely separate and measures 300m by 100m. The Club House is located in the centre of the golf course. It has a coffee bar, pro-shop and restaurant with a splendid terrace for viewing play on the course.
